A second year project to understand and practice techniques within my specialism of print.

 

My concept focused on the structure, shape and pattern of fruits and vegetables. Observing a range of fruits and vegetables, I abstacted their forms, creating considered patterns and textures.

I utilised a range of screen-printing techniques such as reactive dyes, pigment illuminating discharge, devoré, clear discharge and transfer dyes, as well as involving finishing techniques like flocking to create my collection of eight samples.
