A second year project to gain insight into working within industry as well as alongside peers.

My group concept was based around the artist Erykah Badu who acted as our muse. We used her quirky, eclectic, colourful style and beliefs to influence our design style, colours and visual research.

Erykah Badu is a collector, collecting garments like vintage kimonos from all over the world. This inspired me to look into traditional textile motifs and pattern design. 

​

The overall collection is an amalgamation of Erykah's multifaceted personality with chaotic, bold colour combinations, mixed with the sophistication of Liberty's brand.

This project was created completely digitally due to being over a period of lockdown. This enabled me to adapt and establish further skills in digital design techniques.
