GRADUATE COLLECTION - glasshouse impressions

For my final year project I wanted to encapsulate my personal style that has evolved throughout the three years of my degree.

Influenced by the Bloomsbury Group, Fauvist art and the Arts and Crafts movement, my final year collection aims to encompass the playful expression and processes these artists were known for. Using a combination of traditional craft techniques like painting and screen-printing, combined with more digital techniques, I've aimed to create a collection that embraces imperfections and the painterly hand-crafted style.

Based around visits to Kew Gardens, looking at the variety of plants, at their shapes and textures as well as the structural architecture of the glasshouses, I aimed to create an immersive feeling of being amongst nature sparking a feeling of wellbeing in individual's homes.
